I've rearranged my room for the hi fi to fire down the length of the room (thanks to my new amp which is somewhat brighter sounding than my old one) , my aim is to get a rock solid centre image which I could achieve quite easily with the hifi firing down across the short length of the room.
Now on my left hand side I have a large square bay type window which widens the room by about 1ft (to the actual glass)
When positioning speakers , treatment panels etc using a speaker placement calculator , should I take into account the size of the room including the bay or not ?
The reason being is that if I do, one of the speakers would be directly infront of the corner bass trap , even though it's still 1.5ft from the side glass panel and my rear GIK panels would be off centre.
Also, should I still place first reflection point panels to the right side even though it will knock out the symetry ?

thanks
