I've had a couple of claims with UPS. My experience has been that they deny every claim to weed out the weak. If you fight them they'll give in. Good luck and sorry about your loss.

Good luck and sorry about your loss.Wouldn't surprise me.That said:1: An authorized UPS shipping center packaged them.2: I have pictures of the damage while they are still on the truck.3: They scanned them as damaged and I never touched them.I don't think they can get out of this one.
Being packed by a shipping company, they are 100% responsible for the package(s). They should know better.
I am very sorry, grant. No one should have to go through this. There have been so many posts like this lately - very disturbing. I hope this gets resolved quickly and Jim's custom pair for you is everything you wanted and more.
I just placed an order with Jim for three ST's (L/R/C) and two Song Surround 1's - these shipping threads are scaring me. What shipping company would you guys recommend I go with once the speakers are ready?
I have to agree about the packing job - what do those speakers weigh - 50, 75, 100lbs?No way peanuts are going to protect them over distance, in an box that thin. That all said, hopefully UPS will compensate you, and you will soon be listening and happy.

Those speakers should have been carefully packed with rigid (blue board) foam sheets keeping the speakers rigid, and even 1/4" plywood all around to absorb sharp punctures.Heavy items in peanuts can shift in the box and become more vulnerable. Nevertheless with all those warning signs on the boxes there is NO excuse for that kind of damage.I also hate it when careless shippers drop complicated devices into peanuts, and don't wrap the item in plastic. Damn peanuts get in every crevice. That's just lazy.
