No Cd Player Danny ?

I can either burn it to the hard drive and play it, or play it straight from the CD (not quite as good).

Hey Danny, a quick internet search didn't turn up this DAC. Are you selling it or is it for sale somewhere?

I don't think there are plans to sell them through a dealer network. They are direct sales and only $995 each.

Danny,

Does this speaker have the ability to make pinpoint accuracy on the soundstage? the only reason i ask is because the lasst couple open baffle i have heard, create more of a "foggy mist" of a soundstage with vague areas of sound, rather than sharp edges and outlines of the locations and people on the stage.

also please link, or pics or something of the DAC. i know i am not the only one iterested in doing more research into it :)

This pretty much summarizes the distinction I feel between the OB7s versus my Abbeys, in the presentation of the music.

It's a new company. All that stuff is coming. They have done their homework and compared their DAC's to EVERYTHING! They say it even beats up on the PS Audio $6,000 player...

so, to reiterate, the OB7 and this new super V are worlds apart in soundstage abilities?

also, do you know what chip is being used in this usb DAC?

I wish i could take a ride out to hear these. I just completed my ninja mini's filled with no rez and i am still somewhat unhappy with the bass output. i am so scared to loose the speed and detail on the top end id REALLY want to hear these first before commiting.

Thanks for the mini's btw danny ;) i know without you they wouldnt be in my living room

The OB-7's sound great, but are only open baffle in the mids. The Super-V's are all open baffle from top to bottom.

I am not going to say much about that thing yet. I'll let it speak for itself. And it's not just about the chip set being used.

Here is a link to the original plans:
http://www.gr-research.com/pdf/paudiobox.pdf

Based on Danny's earlier responses it sounds as if the plans are basically the same minus the rear firing tweeter and a slightly larger cutout for the P-audio unit.

Ed nailed it.

sounds like your very sure with all those bold quarantees.

Personal opinion of course but I like 'em better with the grills on.

Me too.

Is the V using  and the Super-V is BM12CX38?

Yep. V-1 uses the BM12CXA. V-2 (Venuette) uses the BM8CXA, and the Super-V uses BM12CX38.

What kind of front end will they be played with at the show?

Gary Dodd's new batter power tube amp and pre-amp will be delivering the goods, and I think, setting a new standard for everything else to have to catch up to.

HMMMMMMMMM...... kind of makes my products in our room a non-sequitur doesn't it?  Maybe the Uber will help everything charge faster  :?:  Oh, yeah: LF amps, USB BAC and MacMini; that'll work  :green:

Am I too late to ask if you can play lossless files if I bring some on a flash drive?  Should I convert my WMA Lossless to FLAC for your MAC?  Or, should I just bring .wav files?

Don't know what audio player Danny is using on his mac, but iTunes supports these formats:

When you?re importing songs from a CD into iTunes, you can choose whether music is imported in AAC, AIFF, Apple Lossless, MP3, HE-AAC, or WAV format.
