Hi,

In commercial systems it is usual for ALL equipment to stay on 24/7/365.

This maintains a more constant operating temp.
Does not strain psus in the power up process.
Reduces power up / down time.
Systems are ready for action 24/7/365.

What it also means is that the systems maintain a constant tonal balance day to day, hour to hour......

Andy.
Having worked around "Commercial" systems for 10+ years, I've found the reasons to leave it on, to be far different.

Because there isn't a power switch.
So we don't wear out the power switch.
So we don't have non-techs touching the gear.
So we don't have non-techs knowing where the gear is.
So we don't have to explain to a non-tech, how to turn it on.

If I thought the sound of the gear changes noticably after more than a couple minutes, I'd presume there's a problem with the equipment.
