CryoParts House Cleaning! Now with Pictures!
« on: 18 Sep 2009, 03:18 pm »
I have too many amps and headphones, so I need to pare the stock down a bit:

Bottlehead Quickie--preamp with headphone amp, factory built--$150:

Demo Styleaudio Topaz, full warranty--$275--Qty 2

I also have a few miscellaneous items laying about that need to find loving homes:

Audioengine AW1 open box--$100--Full warranty

Assorted Whiplash Audio Ipod Docks--$25/each
Assorted Whiplash Audio headphone stands--$125/each

All gear is in very good, or mint condition.

I am interested in trading for interesting gear.

PM, or e-mail me for more details.

Peace,

Lee

I will take AKG K702 headphones if they are still for grabs.
(or W5000 if you are willing to bargain a little )
(I do not mind if you kept them in the freezer)
My 701 deal on Agon went down south, so these would be in my budget.

W5000's are payment pending--SOLD!  However, the K702's are yours if you want them.

I'll update the above.

Peace,

Lee

Yeah, it is a great little amp, especially with the Teonex tubes.  I just never use it, I hate to see cool gear sit on my shelf and collect dust.

It would help if I knew what some of those were.  Are the top two headphone amps?  I'm looking for a tube headphone amp for my iPod.

The CTH is a headphone amp, with a 1/8" in and a 1/4" headphone jack out.

The Bottlehead is a headphone amp and a preamp.

Peace,

Lee

I bought this for work, where I now listen to music 8+ hours a day on my relatively cheap Grado headphones.  I was listening to my iPod, but I brought in a USB drive and all of my FLAC songs and set this up to play through the computer's sound card to the CTH.  I have to say that this sounds wonderful.  It's not bright at all, and I've heard things in songs I haven't heard before, plus I can listen to music I'd typically skip by (like the Police).

For the prices, it's shockingly good.  Now, if the tubes only last, given an 8-hour-a-day use.

I just need a USB DAC, and I may never go home.

It is a good little amp, isn't it?

The tube should last a long time, they are not being taxed very hard.

Thanks!
