Did anyone see that multi-channel CableCards are now going to be available for PCs? This could allow you to build an amazing HTPC!
Both PCs and Laptops can use them

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CableCARDSet top boxes (cable boxes) have these cards in them. Now we can bypass the cableboxes with many cable companies, and do our own recording to our own hard drives...not sure how practical or appealing it will end up being, but something to look at.
