Great photographs.  Dan, love that listening room, especially the speakers   Must be a great place to enjoy music.  How do you like the Redpoint turntable?  What tonearm and cartridges do you use?  (What amp and preamp? aa)

I'd be interested to know if you use specific recordings as reference to fine tune your designs?

Is that the new thin form factor amp there?

I think it is....

LOL

You asked for it....here's a sneak peak at the next TAS ad featuring the "thin form factor"  Modwright KWA 100.  I'll start a new thread and I'm sure Dan will fill in the details.

I started a new topic with a few more pics here.

and Dan...great set-up and production space you have there :thumb:

Hi guys and thanks again!  The place did turn out well and no, my job doesn't suck! ;).

The Redpoint TT is brilliant!  I love it and use it with a Triplanar arm and Shelter 901 cart.  I am told that I should upgrade the cart, but I really do like the sound!

Take care!

Outstanding pictures!  Nice work area.  Thanks for sharing.

I'd never get anything done with that listening room there.  High marks!

I'm trying to convince my wife that we really NEED some of Stephen Yates' art/sound treatment panels in my room  :D; I'm having trouble accessing what I believe was his website (artacoustics.com)---I have sent an email to an old contact that was provided, but if anyone has any up to date information on this, please pm me or post.

thanks!

Randy,
I think they got out of that a while ago.  Dan will respond with the final word though.

Ethan Winer's Realtraps, and the GIK Art Panels aren't too shabby.   :D

Thanks again Ted, for the tips; I'm thinking the GIK Art Panels (especially where we can choose our own 'artwork') may be and easy sale  :eyebrows:!

What are the Red Speakers, I know they are OB but what manufacturer?

What are the Red Speakers, I know they are OB but what manufacturer?

I'm pretty sure those were early Emerald Physics speakers.  They were quite impressive with Dan's gear, as I recall, requiring some custom digital interface by their own design...maybe Dan could clarify, or perhaps you know them.  I have been consistently wowed by the synergy of Modwright and Daedelus though (seen in the other room), and those impressions have stuck with me over the years.  I think Emerald Physics has changed its form factor but is still an open baffle design.  No idea what they are like now, but they were certainly on to something good back then.

They are early Emerald Physics speakers with Behringer active Xover.

The Daedalus Speakers are my Reference!

Thanks,

Dan
