Unlike the typical toroidal transformer, your spit bobbin EI power transformer, minimizes the capacitive coupling of noise from the primary to secondary. To some extent, your choice of power transformer (with its narrower bandwidth) minimizes the need for an ac conditioner. Horses for courses. And that nice differential choke certainly helps.

That's precisely why I chose that transformer. I know I could *probably* improve it by using some fancy Lundahl perhaps...but I'm really not sure. With this design, I tried to maximize where I would tweak, namely the capacitors and Paul H's shunt regulator.
I'll be implementing something similar with my upcoming Sabre 32 dac and B
2 buffered preamplifier. These will be using your Felix AC conditioner internally.
And of course, it will be all topped off with Kaplan cords everywhere...
