**Had a change of heart, decided $650 shipped oughta move this amp quick!**

After owning this amp for years it is with great sadness that I find myself in a situation where I need to sell it. Since none of you probably have heard of Radii audio here's the scoop. This amplifier is designed and built by a gentleman simply known as Santaman out of China, here's his site. The interesting and unique thing about Radii is every piece they do is built to order AND you can choose various upgrades. This model was spec'd out by Wayne Waananen of Bolder Cables several years back. He had it built with a lot of upgrades including Nichicon Caps, oversized transformer, infinicaps, 10mm front panel, digital bias meter. separate bias controls for each tube. Upgraded input and output connectors. Retail would be $1700.00. Output is 78 watts per channel!

The first time I heard this amp I fell in love. Wayne was kind enough to let me test it, big mistake.

He never got it back, I ended up buying it off of him. Original price was $1700.

We ended up using this amp at a show in Ohio along with some very excellent equipment including VMPS 626Rs, large sub, and we shared the room with Chris Brady from Teres audio. This setup sounded out of this world! We received a lot of compliments from people at the show.

Full disclosure, the transformer has some mechanical hum which I have effectively damped using sticky tack on the back of the transformer case making it barely audible. I also had a Svetlana tube commit suicide several years back. In the process it blew a fuse and took out a resistor. It has been fixed and hasn't given me a single problem for over 4 years. Also some of the labeling on the top of the amp has worn off (nothing important just the VB labeling) Other than that the amp is in good condition probably 7/10 on the audiogon scale.

This is a one of a kind piece. I will be including quite a few goodies with it. Herbies tube dampers for all tubes (see picture) every EL34 octet that I have including JJ EL34s, JJ E34Ls, Winged C el34s, and some cheap chinese EL34s. I also will include all of my 6bm8s of which I have Yugos, Mullards, Sovteks, AWA Hawthorns, and possibly more that I can't remember.

I will be selling it for less than half of what I bought it for. ~~$700 plus shipping~~ $650 shipped approximately 55lbs from 80128 anywhere in the lower 48. Item will be double boxed and insured. Please send me a PM if interested.

Wow, you're selling this for only $650? Man, someone is going to get a smoking deal. I've heard this amp several times and it's a great amp that sounds even more powerful than it's almost-80 watt rating would imply.

for those wondering about radii, they are made in the same factory as antique sound labs. i almost bought a new pair of their (relatively) high power set amps several years back, when i stumbled upon a great deal on a pair of used audio mirror 6c33c amps, and bought those instead. radii gear seems a bargain even at their new prices. from everything i have heard about asl and radii, this has to be a steal at this price.

Thanks for the comments guys. This is a great amp. I have had a couple people ask me about it in PM. Mostly curious Solid State guys who are interested in giving tubes a chance. Let me just say, this is an excellent tube amp for such a transition. At 78 watts it's unlikely you're sacrificing much if anything at all in power. It's easy to bias up (unlike my cuurrent amp and many others I've played with) because of the read out. I would put this amp against any modestly powerful solid state amp. Someone needs to freakin' buy this thing.

Another SS guy here. Looks like a nice piece and decent price. Is it capable of accepting a KTXX tube in the EL sockets? Not being a tube guy I hear that KT88's and others add a lot of punch.

It is capable of running KT66s. And does so very well. If you buy this amp, do yourself a favor, buy some gold lion kt66s they sound wonderful and yes more powerful sounding.

Also I'm willing to do a straight trade for your preamp.

8 of those at $78 a pair approx? And I bias manually each tube using the front meter?

Ok here's a pic of the back.

As I said the sticky tack is simply to dampen the slight hum of the transformer and if you must it can be removed. I also tried using soundcoat to dampen the vibration which is what you see above and below. All of this can be removed if you want. I will ship it with it on because it does help.

The connectors are all VERY substantial and provide a solid connection without fail.

And to answer big reds question, Yes you manually bias each tube separately.

I have had a few people that are interested in the amp here. I will maintain this listing for a bit longer, but be warned I do have a couple buyers that are right on the cusp of snatching it up, better hurry before it's too late. (and no this is not just a sales tactic)
