There's a situation where I do sometimes listen to music over the phone. I watch music reaction channels where young people, sometimes classically trained experts, listen and comment on rock music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s that they've never heard before. I started with The Charismatic Voice with Elizabeth Zarhov, a young woman with extensive education in voice and music who was also a working opera singer and vocal coach. She's also a delightful person who's engaging to listen to. I've branched out to several other favorites, there a zillion of them, most not trained in any musical discipline. Since it's mostly commentary about music I don't always grab my headphones and dongle dac to listen, sometimes I do. If I'm very familiar with the music I don't need to get the deepest music details from the Beatles Helter Skelter.
