But it's not the Accuarray.
And I'm not sure where they came up with 1.5K @12db for the crossover.  :duh:

In spite of all this it's still a good deal.

Even the raw parts alone might get you to the 2K point.  Who was desperate enough to do this? :duh:

Actually over $3,000 just for the drivers. I know they list it at $8,000/pr. but most companies would easliy charge $15-20K or more, even those that sell direct like us.

Could you tell us the model name and some limited specs Rick? Seems like too good a deal to pass up.

To me they look like the same model that was reviewed in Stereo Times?

If that is true, you can go to Stereo Times and find a very nice write up about them.

It appears to be the XT8 with Vifa Woofers and Fountek Ribbons

It's the XT8 with Vifa 7" wood composite cones and Fountek ribbons. 4-ohm load, sealed cabinet for crossing to a subwoofer. High sensitivity, around 96db.

Yes, it's the same pair as in the review.

Since these speakers don't have crossover built in .. how much would the DEQX cost?

From the looks of the ad they are including an active crossover but I'm not sure what that is. The DEQX cost  can vary from $3K+ depending on what features you want. We have another DSP/amp combo that we offer to customers that's very reasonable in cost, much lower than the DEQX.

I called my friend yesterday and told him that the XT-8s were on Audiogon for sale.  He has been on the verge of ordering a line array kit from Selah Audio or Zalytron and I knew that this deal was too good to pass up.  He snapped them up last night and they are to be delivered to his house next week.  As far as I know the $2k for the speakers INCLUDED the passive cross over.  He got a heck of a deal.  I wanted to buy them, but just couldn't pull it off so second best is that my friend gets them.

I'm the proud owner of some RC-5G speakers and my friend only lives a block-and-a-half from me and he and I  will do some personal side-by-sides to showcase the sonic differences between his XT-8s and my RC-GS someday soon.  Can't wait to help him move these in next week!  Rick, from the pictures you really outdid yourself on these speakers in terms of fit-and-finish.  They look nice!
