I've used small versions of the AMT that I didn't like, and the larger "regulation" AMT, which certainly has virtues. It can be crossed very low and is quite linear. It's main drawback, besides size and expense, is limited vertical dispersion. As I recall, I used it in a design with a dipole midrange, and it was pretty tricky to get evrything working together. I think Jim may have another custom job with the AMT coming up, and I'll get another crack at it, maybe in a conventional design.
