I seem to recall that there was interest in a FFL with AudioCircle members last year...would people like to participate in a league this year?

Would you be willing to funds into a pool for winner(s)?

We would need 10-12 people to commit to make it interesting.

I could run the league if nobody else volunteers.

I'm in.  I am gong to need a reason to watch football every Sunday.  I am moving from New England to Minnesota where Favre will be the craze.  Ugh!

Is this a public invite of anyone on audiocircle or am I intruding on a group of friends here? If it's the former then I'll join, and I'd be willing to pony up a little to make it more interesting.

I will do straight pool (with spread) but I don't have time to get involved in FFL.  I just don't have the time or energy to get ready for the draft.   :(

I assume it would be hosted by like sportsline.com or something.  All you need to do is pop open the projections (cheat sheets) and away you go.   The draft would take a couple hours though.

If I host it, I would most likely use espn.com

+1 as long as the price of entry isn't crazy. i can't wait! also, zybar not sure how much experience you have with espn, but we did espn a couple years ago and switched to sportsline last year...without question sportsline seemed more enjoyable.

of course, the success of the league is up to the commish, and you seem like a very capable person so i'm sure we'll have a good time regardless. i can't wait to do some trash talking.  :icon_twisted:

I have only used sportsline, but it does have a fee.  I don't know if espn, fox or what have you have free leagues.  There is a $100 bonus for "refer a friend" who starts up a new league at sportsline.

information page.  $200 per year less $20 early bird.
http://football.cbssports.com/splash/football/spln/mgmt
rebate (I see it is payable at the end of the season).

with 10 guys it'd be $20 each just for fees.  Add another $20 for prizes.  That would be $30-40 each.  Is that too much guys???   We can use the rebate for prize money too.  Also, one of us could hit up all the manufacturers here for small items they could donate as a prize.

George,

I will do it if you just need just one more.  You should change the option so I can retract my no vote and change it to yes.  This would be my first foray into any FL and I think I should get a mulligan on a pick at the halfway point.   As for soliciting manufacturers for prize, I am against it as this is not an Audio Circle sponsored activity unless a sponsor wants to pay with goods for the entrance fee for this FFL.

I currently use ESPN, myfantasyleague.com, and yahoo.

None are perfect and I am comfortable using any of them, but would prefer that we don't have to pay to play.

As for money...I was thinking $50 a person.

This would allow for multiple prizes and make it "worth it" from my standpoint.

What do you guys think?
