Danny,

Would you rather have (8-10, M-130?) 4.5 inch drivers or a SW-12B as a subwoofer for music and home theater?

Thanks,
Robert

With just that bare info, 12B would be my choice.

I have the 12a with the apex senior amp, and it makes a very nice sub for modest costs.  It would be a lot easier than trying to make all of those m-130's work well as a sub.

The M-130's are 5.25" drivers. They aren't designed to play that low. A group of them will give you superior quality and clean output down to about 40Hz or so and that is about the limit of a group of them.

The SW-12B, if loaded properly will play down to a -3db of 20Hz.

Thanks guys.  I guess reconditioning my RS-750s into a sub is a poor idea.  Sell them and build a regular sub seems to be the best option.

I had hoped to get OB sub or subs, but that is looking more and more like a dream.

Get the single servo sub!  It's worth the pain of saving your money and stretching your budget.

Promise. aa

For music and movies it's simply astounding.

Is loaded properly referring to the amp power or crossover setting?

Good luck on the 750 sale.  I can't believe they haven't sold at that price.
