Would like your opinions about the best amplification for the Tower IIs. They are fairly efficient at 90db, but from what I've read, they like more power to sound the best.

I have some Adcom gear - pre and 60w amp and was considering one of their new power amps. A friend recommended the new Anthem 225w integrated.  I've noticed that there is sometimes a synergy with using certain amps with speakers and would like to know what works best.

Also, would there be much advantage to bi-amping compared to a high powered amp or hefty integrated, suchas the Anthem 225 integrated?

I used to own a pair of the Tower II SE's fifteen years ago and the Tower II/R's before that. I found they responded well to a lot of power. My favourite amp on them was the Threshold S/300 Series II (150 W / 8 ohms; 300 W / 4 ohms). Very neutral. Instrumental timbres very accurate and lifelike. Maybe the Pass stuff would be good on them too.
