The plastic guards on the binding posts of my B-60 have slots for spades that point down, so there is almost no clearance between the slots and the shelf of my rack. 

1. This arrangement seems so obviously stupid that I've sometimes wondered if I have a defectively assembled B-60.  If I tried to use the speaker cables that Bryston made for me, with their big chunky 5/16" spades and 10 AWG wire, then the back of the amp would rest on the cable, unless I push it way back in the rack.

2. If it's not a defect, is there a way to rotate the plastic guards so they face up?

3. If 2 is not possible, then I suppose adding taller feet might be an option, though they'd have to be a couple inches taller for useful clearance.  Any suggestions?

Hi Daverz,

I will check on the connector turn around for you -I do not think so but I will ask.
If your cables have a pair of bananas then maybe use them on the amp end and the spades on the speaker end. Also maybe consider using a set of tip-toes under the feet of the B60. I can send you a set of the taller feet we use on the big amplifiers if that helps.

Hi Daverz,

I checked and on the B60 the bindings posts have to be arranged with the slot down so as not to obscure the silk screen printing on the rear of the unit - CSA requirements.

Thanks for getting the info so quickly, and thanks for the offer of the feet.   But I think I'll go with bananas on the amp side as you suggested.    I also take back the stupid comment as it occurred to me that slot down would work fine in a rack mount arrangement.

 I had a B60 and know what you mean. I simply used a banana to spade adapter ( so as to leave the spades and not have to change connectors).
 Just another option.
