Dusty, should the heat-sinks (D200's) get hotter on a 4ohm load.

Hi, the Dynaudio focus 110's are sounding great with the D200's, but I notice that the heat-sinks get a lot hotter due to the dyna's 4ohm load compared to speakers Ive used with an 8ohm load, is this norm.

Maybe due to my room, but the D200's sound the best so far with the dyna's, much better than the Spendor S5e or ProAc response 2S, although the dyna's are more fussy about placement. Thanks.

Yes...
For example... an amplifier at 100w into 8 ohms/90% efficiency will dissipate 10w through the heatsink. The same amplifier at 4 ohms will be 200w and dissipate 20w through the heaksink.
