I think calling it a twang is a bit off, it is more like a sparkle, an overtone. Around the area Rich mentioned.
Agreed. I just listened, and "twangy" isn't the best description. But yeah, I hear it.
Once again, the biggest role is the difference in room acoustics. You cannot compare speakers properly if they aren't in the same room, sitting in the exact same location. Sure it's not practical, but it's the only way to know for
sure.
