Has anyone heard from Bill lately? I hope he's doing well. I bought one of his refurbished ST70s, it was a pleasure dealing with him.

I was just wondering the same thing - how is Bill doing?
Happy New Year to him and all the forum members!

He has had my PAS-3 Peramp for 2 years. I haven't heard from him in over a year. Unfortunately, I don't think he is around anymore. I dont know for sure.

For those interested in the FM3, you should follow the link below. He has a number of FM3 items up to and including a replacement single fiberglass motherboard that replaces all three PC boards and most of the point to point wiring, and an LED tuning dial light that replaces the power hungry mini incandescent bulb.

I am putting in the dial light mod, but probably selling the tuna after as there isn't enough good music on the FM dial here (DC) to justify keeping and maintaining a vacuum tube tuner.... sigh

If anyone is interested, my article regarding troubleshooting and repair of the Dyna FM-3 tuner is still available free of charge.

Just send me your e-mail address and I will send you the .pdf file.

The above article is a MUST READ for FM-3 devotees.

I'm making a run of new boards with some interesting additions, including DIP switches to aid in the alignment process, the option for on board pots for balance control, and those that want to do away with the volume control, and different components.

Right on Denny9167, Looks good. Have you tested them out yet? I like the idea of removing the Volume control on the FM-3.

I've previously made a run of new boards, using basically the same layout, and they worked great, but I've just about sold all my tuners with the new boards. A gentleman on the Dynaco Forum looked over the schematic with the new additions, and told me the DIP switch wiring would work just fine.  I've also incorporated a single ground plane on PC-12 which will minimize the wiring for the pot,and lower the noise even more.
