Nice!   :thumb:

Stunning and we all hope you enjoy them for years to come!!

Wow!

Thank you!  Next to my first car when I was 16, I cannot think of anything I have been as proud to own or excited to save for.  (though admittedly this may not get me laid quite as much)

<snip> To me the cherry-dyed bamboo looks gorgeous and understated, if just a bit lighter than the 'source', at least in this picture.  It's hard to tell, it looks like it was taken in some strong light.  <snip>

Once you actually receive them, you'll find that they look so much better than the pre-ship photograph.  It's great to have an idea of what you'll be receiving, but having them in your home is experiencing Jim's craftsmanship on a whole other level.

Good looking speaks Bigload, am sure you will enjoy. And you'll probably find it depends on what music you play as to whether they work as well as the car.

Thanks all!  Big Red, there's no pics to be had of that beauty, a silver 1986 Chrysler Laser.  But if there were, I'm sure Jim and company could splice them together with some photoshop magic and add a great woodland background!

Take some pics Bigload! (I'll do the same)

I'll take some pics for sure.  When they arrive on Thursday that is!  Already planning a vaca day on Friday to play with new toys.  I got my AVA preamp/DAC combo unit today.  It looks great!!  Hopefully my AVA 240 amp shows up tomorrow too.  I thought about hooking up the AVA pre/dac to my old Emo amp and LSI9's.  But then thought heck, I'll just wait until all of the new goodies get here.  I am really excited.  I can't wait to plug in that Dire Straights Brothers in Arms SACD!  And... I am really anxious to hear my Apple lossless files through my Wadia and the AVA DAC/Pre/Amp/Salks.  This has been a long wait since my order on 2-2 and it is good to know everything is finally rolling towards me.

I am just starting my wait for my Soundscapes.  I am listening to my HT1’s.  This is torture, because the HT1’s sound so good!   The HT1’s keep telling me that I am a fool for abandoning them!  I know that the Soundscapes will sound better but it will be torture listening to my HT1’s question my decision for the next couple of months.

Just send them to me (permanently).  Then they won't "torture" you anymore.  Yes, I'd honestly be willing to help you out in that regard; I'm that nice a guy.   :thumb:

Bob,

Look on the previous page at posts 661 & 664.  I haven't had a chance to photograph the HT3s yet (just the Center); I'm still waiting to get some help to put the spikes on.  They're flat on the floor at the moment but sound incredible.  It really is true that you rediscover music and find yourself listening more than ever.  I'm sure I'll get a chance to shoot some pictures in the next few weeks and get them posted.

One of the guys in the office loaned us the Blu Ray box of “Band of Brothers”, which we had never seen.  (First time to watch a Blu Ray on the new system.)  We watched Episodes #1 and #2 last night, and it was amazing how easy it was to even localize the bullets passing by.  I wanted to hit the ground!  The HT3s/HTC do an amazing job with cinema also.

Now I am starting the wait all over again.  The new SongTowers were such a hit, I could not resist and ordered more..... a set of HT2TL's for my 2 channel now on order, and 2 more SongTowers (to put with the 2 I just got) and a SongCenter.  Planning to convert my HT set up to all SongTowers.  That will take care of my needs for a long, long time.
