Looks like my Song series 5.0 setup may be ready by the end of the week to ship out. Jim had run into issues with one of the Song Towers finish and couldn't work around it, so had to start it from scratch on that one.
Ouchie! At least they are taking care of it.
Oh - so you're the hold up Congrats - what kind of finish did you get?
My speakers are on the FedEx truck and scheduled to be delivered between noon and 3:00 PM today. It's going to seem like an eternity.
Howdy everyone. I've been reading the forum for awhile since I decided to upgrade my music system from big box store speakers (yes I'm a newbie finally bitten by the audio bug) to something better. I really am impressed by how much everyone likes and seems to enjoy their Salk speakers, so I decided to put my toe in the water and order a pair of SongBirds. They will be cherry with a cherry baffle for my 2 channel music-only living room. Really looking forward to seeing and hearing them. It is hard to count the days once you put in the order, but I'm sure it will be well worth the wait.Anyway, glad to see so many happy Salk owners here!
Waiting (somewhat) patiently for my bamboo HT2-TLs and matching Rhythmik 15"!Couple of reasons I chose them instead of the HT3s:Power:I'm running only an A/V receiver, granted it's about as good a receiver as I've seen, it still only pushes ~120w RMS at 8ohms. Sherwood Newcastle P965 incase you're interested. The HT3s are not hugely efficient. The HT2-TLs on the other hand are a bit more efficient (88db compared to 85db) AND (big one) run at 4ohms impedance, which, and I'm no scientist, should bump power output to around ~200w.PriceI thought I needed a sub regardless and that would have tipped the scales. Though from recent audioholic reviews make me think that might not be the case, with either speaker. I'll certainly listen to the 'TLs for some time w/o one. WAFNot a huge factor in my house (thanks honey) but the shape of the HT3s didn't really please the missus. I like the ones people have requested without the 'steeple' however. Heck, they undoubtedly all look stellar in person. And the waiting, is the hardest part! (sing it Tom!)
and there is the second one....Now to run home during work, drop them off, run back to work, and impatiently wait for the end of the day.....
