Please add me to the list - ordered dome SongTowers, SongCenter and SongSurround I's on 8/26.  I'm guessing Halloween, maybe?

Excellent!  That looks like a sweet home theater setup.

I've added you to the list.  What kind of finish did you order and what kind of components will you be using?

Black satin finish.

My hodgepodge of components will surely elicit a smile:  PlayStation 3 connected to a nine-year-old Integra DTR-7.1 receiver, used only as a preamp, with an EAD PowerMaster 500 as the amplifier.  I loved the EAD in my old system, and I think it will do a great job with the Song series.  Sub is an SVS 20-39CS (one of the originals), with one channel of an Adcom GFA-5500 wasted on powering it.  :)

That makes three of us...I am at 103 days.   The 103 days is ok because I know Jim is making sure everything is perfect, but I got anxious and sold my speakers 5 weeks ago:o, which, in hindsight, was a terrible idea.

At least you had speakers until five weeks ago - my media room looks pretty funny with a lone subwoofer as the only thing connected to a rack full of audio components. . .

I was able to pick-up a mint one year-old Rythmik F-12SE for 650, so I couldn't pass it up.  I was going to wait until the new year to get one, but used never seem to be available.  I also happened to have rented a car for the weekend (I live in manhattan), so the stars were aligned.

So here's a question for the masses (everyone please weigh in):  Do you guys leave your amps and preamps powered on all day, or do you shut them both off when you're finished listening?

I have a universal remote (Harmony One) that turns everything off but my AVA 240/3.  I turn that off when I remember to but I don't always catch it.  We'll see what happens when I have a DAC and Preamp to think about as well.

I turn my amp off... mind you it's not an amp that changes noticably with warm-up time. I have a few friends in the city that leave theirs on as much as possible. In their cases, it's their wives that usually turn it off on them if it ever gets turned off. I've heard their amps right after a cold start and after warm up time and the difference was noticable. Can't remember what they have though... *shrug*
