I'm trying to cut down on my stock of output tubes, so I'm interested in trading the following for a matched pair (or possibly 3 tubes) of high quality rectifier tubes:

I have a nicely matched quad of 'almost' NOS Amperex/Mullard EL34's for that I purchased in November from a respected member; they tested NOS when I purchased and I would guess I've put no more than 400 hours on them since, as I've rolled quite a few output quads thru in trying to find my favorite  :D!!  This quad was over $350 when I purchased.

I also have a nicely matched quad of again 'almost' NOS Tesla brown base el34's, again purchased from a respected Asylum member in January--I've put even less, say 250 hours on these.  Frankly I was surprised, as these give up very little, if anything to the more expensive Amperex/Mullards.  The old VTV el34 shootout was right, these are a great tube.

I'm looking for at least a pair, although I could use 3 tubes, with the 'extra' as a spare for my amp and/or my MW Transporter, of high quality rectifier tubes...something like Mullard cv378/gz37's, Brimar, Cossur, and would also consider really good 5U4G's.....

If you have some great spare rectifiers and are interested in a high quality quad of EL34's, let me know...if there is value differences, hopefully we can agree on some $ also going one way or the other!

Thanks,

Randy

Still have both great quads of el34's, as well as my GL reissue KT66's.....I'd also be interested in trading for nice matched pairs of premium 6sn7's, particularly Brimar or Tung Sol round plates....

Thanks,

Randy
