Bravo, Danny and thank you.

Danny, I've now experienced 4 different speakers which you have had a hand (if I am not mistaken) in producing, three of which I personally own now.

First one, the X-Voce center channel.  Simply the best production center channel I've owned to date.  Smooth sound with little localizability and very natural sounding.

Second one, your hand in the X-Statics.  I, along with my brother and our good friend, hooked them up at my choral conductor's home and we were simply amazed by the sound.  This REALLY made me understand the craze of open baffles.

Third one, your A/V-1RS.  Never had I imagined how good these speakers would be compared to all of the other dedicated surround speakers I've used in the past (AV123 RSS300, Axiom QS4's, Polk Bi/Dipolar speakers, etc).  When you stated your opinion on how those "multipolar" speakers were somewhat gimmicky, I was somewhat hesitant to believe so, but once I listened to the A/V-1RS, I am now a firm believer.  These surrounds are so full and big sounding and disappear so well.  Bravo.

And the final one and the final piece of home theater speakers.  Your beloved LS-9's.  AV123 sent my pair and I picked them up from the yellow terminal yesterday.  After spending a ton of time getting them unboxed and into place I only spent about an hour listening to them before I had to shut the system off.  All I really can say, without embarrassing myself by stating things you already know about these speakers, is my search for main speakers is finally over.  THANK YOU for all that you've done to make these things as amazing as they are.  Yes, I still have a long time to go before they are properly broken in, but they already do SO MUCH absolutely right.

Jon - I am building a set of the LS9s and can't wait for Danny to get the components in.  They are quite a complicated build, but from everything I have heard they should be awesome.  I have the first cabinet nearly completed, and it is impressive.  Pics will follow soon.  Tell me more about them!

Congratulations on getting some of the first LS-9's being shipped from AV123.

I can't wait to get more of the drivers in so I can fill all of these kit orders. Soon...

Thanks for all of the kind words and I am really glad to hear that you are enjoying the fruits of my labor.

Since people are starting to get the production AV123 LS-9's, I guess I will have to wait for the LS-12's!  ;)

Glad that Jon has his pair and is happy!  Making music is what it is all about.  :)

Thanks guys!  They are truly amazing speakers both physically and sonically.  The physical size of them is daunting, but the sound is as big.  Never have I heard such smooth and effortless range from a speaker.  Not to mention, a truly fullrange speaker, too!

Yes, LS-9's from AV123 are finally starting to ship, though that doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be much easier to get...

And yes, music never sounded so sweet, natural, or so realistic!

Congrats on getting those amazing speakers, and on having the space to use them...  I could never fit such a thing in my tiny home.

I heard LS-6's at a gtg and was really impressed.  The natural presentation was impressive, but what really struck me was the effortless dynamics.  I've never heard dynamics like that from anything that didn't involve a horn, and they did it with a significantly more natural and refined sound.  The low frequency extension was also very impressive.  I rarely think any speakers are fine with no sub when listening to music, and with those it truly was not needed.  I have significantly more experience in pro sound than in home audio, and the sound these produced was strikingly familiar - and something I have often wanted but never got from home audio.  They reminded me of a really great concert PA system shrunk down in to something about 6 feet tall.  I don't mean the JBL JRX's at your local bar either.  I mean something really great, and I've mixed on half million dollar rigs with L'Acoustics arrays, Lab Gruppen amps, a Yamaha PM1D with converters upgraded to an Appogee Rosetta.  Never found any home audio that could reproduce that until Line Source.

Despite the long painful saga of the LS-9's and AV123, those who manage to get a pair will be treated to something truly extraordinary.

Effortless dynamics outside of horns really is something amazing.  I used to like Horn sound until I realized how painful it could be to my ears the louder you go.

As far as low frequencies, there several instances in the last two days I literally got off my seat to check to make sure my sub wasn't outputting any sound.  Low frequencies are so authoritative, but with no excessive decay.

Here are some pics.  I won't post all of my journey to Yellow and stuff, I'll just post the boxes and speakers in my home.

Don't know if you can see that, but the shipping weight is 692lbs. :D

playntheblues, forgive me, but I don't think it's my place to say due to me being slightly a different circumstance.

I will say this though, in retrospect, if I were to do it again with being told straight up that I was going to wait x amount of time for these speakers I would definitely do it again.  They are definitely worth it (although maybe without the drama though).
