Hi all,

I will soon be receiving a Mac mini which will be used as a music server to feed my MW Transporter.  I will use the firewire connection to transmit from the mini to the Transporter ("bridged" configuration).  I'm currently using my Macbook as the music server, so I know the basics of connections, etc.

I'm wondering if there are any special or key settings/configurations I need to select on the mini in order to get the best audio quality?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Randy

The MW Transporter has no firewire connection, only ethernet/wireless (for Squeeze Center streaming) or coax/bnc/AES-EBU/toslink for digital input to DAC section.  I wouldn't use the Transporter if you're not using Squeeze Center, you lose a lot of its value.

I misspoke   , but yes I have the macbook (and will similarly connect the mini) to my Transporter via the ethernet connection for the squeezecenter streaming.

I just was curious as to whether any of the configuration settings on the mini needed to be tweeked.

Thanks.
