No Worries, Mate!  Knowing the extremely docile nature of the Aussies, I am SURE there will never be any politics, sports, cooking, personal attacks, or other controversy on this circle!

Glad to see it here!

Maybe (Hopefully!) with the advent of this Circle, we can once and for all get a definitive answer regarding:
Does it swirl clockwise or counter-clockwise?

Do Aussies eat kangaroo? FWIW, I buy all my long underwear made from Merino wool straight from Australia and it's because of how toasty your woolie products warm the cockles of my heart on those cold wintry Vermont nights that I wish you much success with your Aussie Circle. :thumb:

And my Australian Shepard says ruff to that also. aa

Cheers,
Robin

Do Aussies eat kangaroo?

We eat two species of kangaroo (plus one wallaby), emu (so that accounts for the coat of arms), two species of crocodile, a couple of native freshwater fish, a few native duck species and a range of ferals - camel (excellent quality meat), Asian water buffalo, rabbit, pig and the odd deer.

Koala are inedible. They taste like liver flavoured with eucalyptus cough drops.

Cane toads are inedible. But excellent sport.

European carp are inedible.  Despite the protestations of our Asian and Eastern European brethren to the alternative.

Australian loudspeaker manufacturers (and their products) are inedible.  But only because if we ate them then there'd be no-one to make such lovely product. Plus there's a quite a few that wouldn't have much "plate appeal'.

Same goes for most Australian hifi component makers.......but only because we might catch something cause they are often a little loopy.

For some reason I thought kangaroos were on a protected species list cuz the natives were eating them all. aa Guess I was wrong. Bon appettite.
I actually visited Sydney back in 1970 for a 30 day R&R from the Vietnam crap. Sydney was the only R&R center available that wasn't an Asian country and I've always had a fondness for your country.  :thumb:

Robin

Kangaroo's are in plague proportions at the moments, and there is a bounty on them, we are now exporting the meat, which I have to say is quite nice to  eat  aa

NONSENSE!  You just have to know how to prepare carp!

Here, try this:

Take a large carp, and gut, clean, and scale it like you would any other fish.
Soak it in clean cold water for 24 hours in the fridge.
Set the fish on a large piece of aluminum foil and cover it with all sorts of vegetable, potatoes, celery, onions, you name it, and add a little salt.  Wrap the aluminum tightly around the fish and the veggies.
Set the package on a piece of hardwood also wrapped in aluminum foil, and bake it for 300 degrees for three hours.

Take it out of the oven and let it cool for 20 minutes, then throw away the fish and eat the board.

We have a similar recipe for another native animal, the galah.

But we ain't no vegetarians so the hardwood board is out (besides Aussie hardwood is so tough you can make nails out of it).......we use a brick instead.
