Replacement Speakers
« on: 23 Mar 2009, 03:49 pm »
I would like to replace the speaker in a Crate Limo PA box for better and louder sound.  The box is used to play music for short periods (1-2 min) at karate demos at high volume. It has 10" 4 ohm 100watt speaker w/16 oz magnet and 2" tweeter 4 ohms 150 network.  Looking for suggestions.

My suggestion would be to look into a new speaker system that does what you want.

might want to look at Madisound. You can pretty much build anything you want. I assume you are open to the idea of building a set?

Yes I would be, but my knowledge in this area is very limited.

Which is what I figured, and is why I recommended a whole new speaker system.

There's plenty of stuff available at most music stores, new and used.

You'll be able to listen to them before spending money, and you'll be able to sell them more easily if you ever need to.
