Greetings AC'ers
As many of you know, two Bella Phono stand alone phono stages recently went on tour. The reason for this was to get initial feedback from various users and systems.
There have been three areas that have been mutually commented on...noise, gain and dynamics. Okay, that was the reason for this tour and I have listened to everyone who has auditioned these pieces and posted comments and have taken measures to improve upon these aspects.
Going back to the bench, the changes have come to the power supply. The main filter bank has seen a doubling of capacitance and the B+ has been increased. This has led to greater dynamics at the frequency extremes, a bit more gain, more body as well as a lower noise floor.
I will continue to do more testing and tweaking while the tour continues.
For those interested in purchasing the tour units, I will be implementing these upgrades to these pieces as well.
