I can't believe this didn't sell yet?
Mine sold in like 11 minutes.

This is a great pre.

Hi Mike,

I suppose the phone stage on your unit may have been a good selling point.

Perhaps I should try to touch up the little scratches on the enclosure. They're superficial and don't penetrate the primer. Also a replacement emblem on the power supply could be procured from Mapletree, however I think it's a waste of money because it would just fade again after a couple of years. Some of the original back panel labels have disappeared and I've replaced them but they don't match.
These are all superficial faults so I wouldn't think that they would deter a serious and knowledgeable buyer.

In all honesty I gave it a long, hard look, but this is the part I got hung up on.

Quote
I have performed two simple mods that have noticeably improved the sound quality. The Auricap 1uf output caps have been bypassed with .01 T-1 Russian teflons. I replaced the Alps Blue attenuator with a smd stepped unit. I will include the removed Alps unit.

I'm not electrically inclined at all.  Mods and bypassing seem like major changes in Dr. Lloyd's work, but I really don't know.

Hi,

These simple mods can be easily reversed and the unit returned to stock. I can do this for a prospective buyer. These aren't major mods but IMO they do improve sound quality. The SMD attenuator certainly improved separation. I think that Dr. Lloyd now offers a stepped attenuator as an option. The Russian Teflons are widely recognized as quality caps.
