With all this talk about Credit Card debt, you should seek out a firm that only handles BANKRUPTCY clients  Then I can be your 1st client :bomb: What a great hobby :!:

Move in with your relatives if you have to. Volunteer hours will count as experience. Contact schools, non-profit organizations, hospitals, elderly centers, be creative ... just get busy.

To make ends meet, get a job working retail, maybe you'll get a discount on electronics. Don't let your ego get in the way of your creativity. You need to be creative and work as hard as our grandparents worked.

Lecture off.

I haven't used a credit card in over 5 years and couldn't be happier.
I spend what I make (or less)... What a concept!!!
True, I'm in the process of taking a GIANT loan for my new house but a mortgage is a good thing to have....

Beware of the blood sucking Credit card companies...

I applied for a PD position. . .it was quickly filled by someone else.

My career counselor said that this is one of the worst times he's ever seen for job listings. . .

What area of law are you looking for?  UMKC grad? What kind of undergrad degree?  What part of the country are you looking to work in?  You can PM me if you want.

Good post Andrikos ! People have to be able to identify "Good debt "and "Bad debt ". Wondering , what size is a GIANT loan ? :)

Andrikos, I seem to remember that you have to pay more for a giant mortgage then a (smaller) regular one.

When I got my mortgage my bank made me two loans, one just up to but less than the Giant limit, and another one to cover the difference to what I needed.  It worked out to be cheaper.

You might want to see if they would do this for you.

Jumbo mortgages usually have an interest rate of 1/2 point higher than standard mortgages.  As of Jan 2. 2004 the amount of loan that qualifies as a jumbo mortgage increases from $275K to $300,700.  Check out yhis article http://www.usatoday.com/money/perfi/columnist/block/2001-12-04-block.htm

Yeah, it's gonna be a jumbo mortgage payment alright...  :|

Oh well, it's gonna help tax-wise anyway and I'm not the guy to buy flashy cars just to show off, I'll keep on driving my wreck till it won't go anymore...  :P I'm waiting for the 2005 Passat TDi :)

After all, extra money will go for the house and vacations...
Thanks for the good words guys, it sure feels good to move into a brand new home (Dec 29th). No better Xmas present other than having kids and I'm done with that part!   (3 kids)

I thought that VW wasn't going to bring the Passat TDi into the States until the sulfer content of the diesel fuel was lowered.  Have they changed their minds or has the fuel improved?
