That's a tough one

Believe it or not, my HH Scott 299. With this piece of gear I can match a number of low end or vintage speakers and a very modest turntable or USB DAC and make some damned fine sounds. Audiophile it ain't but music for the sake of music is what this integrated excels at. Next on the list would be my modified JoLida 102. It only comes in second because it doesn't have a phono stage.

More than likely I'd keep a prototype or two around and a good pair of efficient speakers (like my old giant Cerwin Vegas). For a source, I'd just keep a cheap DVD player. Can't beat them for $30.00!

I'd keep my Dunlavys too . In my case it is the Alethas.

My Dahlquist DQ-10's. Had them since 1977. Too many memories. You can pick them up at the curb first garbage day after I die, though, if the wife has any say...

Nothing I have is irreplaceable, but for my home system I would keep the Hagerman Cornet2 phono pre-amp since I built it and it works.

Now if I had to sell everything then I would keep the modified JBL L88's that are in my shop, which are no longer 88's but hot rodded home made L100's with all JBL drivers, heavily braced cabinets, and re-done crossovers. There is a reason these are still cult favorites, these babies rock.

I would keep my secondary system's speakers, which happen to be Audio Engine A5's. I listen to these speakers the most since they are the most convenient to listen to and the sound they produce is absolutely fantastic.

The bookshelf speakers in my bedroom system: Celestion f1.5s. Low-end to be sure, but they make everything sound pretty damn good. The Parasound zAmp is a very good match for them. Celestion has an updated model (sans decimal place) that does not have the warmth.

Squeezebox is my choice, too. This is by far the single greatest impact that a tech product has ever had on me. It's completely redefined my enjoyment of music.

My Dodd battery-preamp. Amps will probably change. Building new speakers as I type, will upgrade my source eventually, but the Dodd stays.

Computer of course... good for a lot more than audio, and all I'd need was headphones or cheap computer (powered) speakers to listen to the music on it, or the CDs or DVDs it can play.

My Craftsmen 500as are what I'd miss the most, and would have the hardest time replacing. Too much "love" invested at this point.

How about this one...my room treatments.

No matter what gear I switch around, the room treatments stay in place and allow me to maximize my investment in the gear.
