Yeah, it is still gonna be 41 bucks in 6 days and then I'll bid for it
BTW,  what is a reasonable price for this unit ?

I don't know what a used one like this should go for? Frank would know what it should go for. I think a new one is $1248 with Phono. :smoke:

My general rule of thumb is list price for the state of the art unit minus the cost of upgrading from the current series.  (In this case, that would be the cost of an Insight EC minus the cost of upgrading from an OmegaStar EC to an Insight EC, or about $600.)  Of course, some flexibility is in order.  Somewhat less if the guy's 2 year old daughter spilled her milk shake all over it.  Somewhat more if it's in pristine condition and you plan to listen for a while before upgrading.

Needless to say, this rule of thumb would not actually apply to me, if I wanted to sell any of my AVA stuff.

It has the older cover on it so the time line seems correct. Nice piece, with new faceplate. You wouldn't need the new cover if you upgraded to Insight. Depends what it goes for.

Might be worth checking if the seller is the original owner, by contacting Frank with the serial number.  The Omegastar EC writeup isn't clear on that point.

It looks great, a good price too.  I have the same thing with phono and phase inverter options.  For that price you can't go wrong.  good luck :D

At 558, that's pretty close to the 600 you predicted!
