Hello All,
I thought I'd write about the gig I went to last night with my GF, who got me the tickets for X-Mas!
This was the fourth or fifth time that I've seen Patricia Barber now, a couple of times @ Yoshi's in Oakland, even at an Auditorium at the University of California at Berkeley... This show last night was like any of her previous shows!!!
She was just amazing! The same group that accompanies her on her CDs... This time, again, like all others the performances were wonderful, quirky (as she knows not how not to be), dramatic and out right enjoyable! There are talented musicians out there, but PB just takes the cake for one being all one with her performance, natural, unassuming, carefree, relaxed and fun! She's just a joy to watch.
Anyways, I saw both shows, the 8 and 10 o'clock shows.
I'll leave it at that and will say that anyone who have had the opportunity to see PB that you shouldn't heesitate to do sho if the opportunity presents itself!
