IeGO's Ti2000 series represents the pursuit of high performance audio grade power parts with reasonable cost in mind.  This series strives to strike a balance of performance and price. This balance is the center of all design principle for products from the least expensive 8055 unplated copper to the top end 8095 rhodium plated 99.999% pure IeGO silver.  We find ways to use the best material possible, not excuses of why not to use them.  Thus this is why high purity copper and silver is used in our Ti2000 series, instead of the usual "somewhat conductive" brass and bronze materials.

Just think, why would you use a brass or bronze connector when you have spent so much on a high purity copper, silver or other expensive alloy cable?  Why not use a high quality connector that also uses highly conductive material?

IeGO's Ti2000 series not only use high quality copper (Furukawa's 99.95% pure rose copper) or high quality silver (IeGO's 99.999% pure silver), but the processing is also very carefully done with all pins cryo treated at -240C/-400F for over 20 hours before finally assembled into the final product.  We do not cryo the entire plug, as we don't see the benefit of cryoing the plastic (Polycarbonate/some call it Lexan) housing of the plug, not to mention we can pass the savings down to everyone. :)

Common Spec:

Cable Diameter: 5ψ~17ψ  (We don't recommend using cable that is close to the spec's limit)
Conductor Diameter: 1.25ψ~5.5ψ   (Again, we don't recommend using conductor that is close to the spec's limit)
Conductor Locking Clamp: Hardened square rose copper bracket, conductor is forced onto the pin contact by the clamp, and the clamp does not carry any meaningful current.
Dimensions:  38mm * 72mm (Diameter * Length)

Common traits:
All Ti2000 series connector will allow your equipment to have better dynamic response, better overall neutral frequency response, better details and transparency with better sound staging.  (When compared to most other similar products.)  Each type brings some unique traits to the table, and you can select which one to use depending on your own requirements.

Ti2000 8095 99.999% pure IeGO Silver with Rhodium plating.  Our top of the line, in addition to the common traits above, 8095 further enhanced the dynamic response power, ultimate clarity, transparency, detail, smoothness with extremely quiet background and a super neutral sound signature.  The perfect connector for revealing the performance of your cable and your equipments.

Conductor material: KSB 5N pure silver with Rhodium plating of 1~2um.

$220USD/pair, available in clear, transparent blue and black color housing. Clear and transparent blue shown in above photos. (Click for larger photo)

Ti2000 8085 Gold plated 99.95% Furukawa copper. Our mid range series, in addition to the above common traits, the direct nickel-less 24K gold plating resulted in very detailed and refined sound with a touch of warmth that can be perfect for making your current equipment sound more refined. (Perfect for pre-amp/amp that just need a touch more flavor)

Conductor material: Furukawa 99.95% pure copper with 12um of directly plated 24K gold.

We do NOT use nickel plating because normally nickel plating is done to save the cost of gold plating by acting as a barrier between copper and gold so that only 1~3um of gold would be needed.  We see no point plating nickel to save cost at the cost of sonic performance.

$80USD/pair, available in clear, transparent blue and black color housing. Transparent blue shown in above photo. (Click for larger photo)

Temporary photo, a better one will be uploaded soon.  The cable in the background is not included.

Ti2000 8075 Rhodium plated 99.95% Furukawa copper. Our mid range series, in addition to the above common traits, the rhodium plating resulted in very detailed and smooth sound with a quieter background.  If you do not have the budget for 8095, this have similar effect but not to the extent of what 8095 can do.  Perfect for revealing what your cable and equipment can do without spending too much

Conductor material: Furukawa 99.95% pure copper with 1~2um of Rhodium plating.

$110USD/pair, available in clear, transparent blue and black color housing. Transparent blue shown in above photo. (Again, it is a temp photo and it will be replaced soon, and cable in the background is not included.)

Ti2000 8065 silver plated 99.95% Furukawa copper. Our mid range series, in addition to the above common traits, the ultra thick silver plating resulted in very detailed and dynamic sound with a slightly brighter and fuller sound signature.  Compared to 8075, it is also like an inexpensive version of 8095 with different advantage, 8065 instead of the smoothness of 8075, it have better dynamic power with fuller sound representation.  An unique trait to 8065 is a slightly brighter sound, which can be used to brighten darker setups or equipments.  It is also very well suited to digital equipments by providing very fast response.  Not recommended for Class D equipments that is already on the bright side, for Class D equipments, 8055 is recommended.  Most other silver plated connector and cables can sound overly bright, how does our 8065 differ?  We found that the thinner the silver plating, the harsher/brighter it sounds, this is why we plate it to 240um while most others stop at around 30~50um.

Conductor material: Furukawa 99.95% pure copper with 240um of direct silver plating.

$70USD/pair, available in clear, transparent blue and black color housing. Clear shown in above photo. (Again, it is a temp photo and it will be replaced soon, and cable in the background is not included.)

Ti2000 8055 99.95% Furukawa copper. Our entry level series, in addition to the above common traits, the Furukawa copper contacts resulted in very detailed and flavorful sound that is warm and involving.  Highly recommended for most equipments, especially good for  equipments that needs some warmth added (Which would account for a lot of current budget equpiments).  8055 is especially effective at taming overly bright sounds, and can be very well suited for Class D equipments that often have sound signature that is on the bright side.

Conductor material: Furukawa 99.95% pure copper with acid bath treatment to resist discoloration.

$40USD/pair, available in clear, transparent blue and black color housing. Clear shown in above photo. (Again, it is a temp photo and it will be replaced soon, and cable in the background is not included.)

I think, it is really hard to tell if ir is really a pure copper or a pure silver, right?

I have raised the same question with our supplier, and he welcomes all challenges to the material's purity and quality.  They routinely do checks on their material with their own lab, and if anyone can provide reports from a reputable lab to prove the material used is not what stated, they'd be happy to pay for your expenses of the lab test and refund the IeGO products that you have purchased.

In addition, Silver is NOT the most expensive part of the product, nor is copper.  High grade pure silver and copper is easily obtainable from metal manufacturers/refiners if you are in the industry, and it is really just not worth it to replace it with a cheaper metal and risk damage to reputation.

The most expensive part of this product is actually the design and manufacturing process.  Which is why there isn't a lot of choices around when you are looking into high grade silver or copper plugs.

We now also have a web site at:
www.acoustic-fun.com/catalog

Please note the price for the plugs on this page is somewhat outdated, price for the entry level plugs have been raised due to manufacturer's cost increase (which had just been passed on to us).

Thanks.

The box will show the model number, which will be quite easily visible, the plug itself will also have different sticker on them.  The hardest one to tell apart is the Rhodium plated copper and rhodium plated pure silver, but as mentioned above, the sticker will say if it is copper or silver.

Thanks
