That is a very good looking speaker. Reminiscent of Wilson Max but very classy. :thumb:

I think they were supposed to use the new Atlas mono blocks and their new super duper preamp.

A reviewer called me from CES yesterday and he told me that the first day he was there was like being in a ghost town, and as he went from exhibit room to exhibit room he was often the only person visiting in each room.

He said day two was a little better but it was still pretty slow.

Sounds like plenty of the usual exhibitors but no buyers.

This is going to be the shake out year, and I bet we see a lot of companies shake out. Scary times...

Supposedly Magnepan has a really neat new product....something akin to mini-Maggies. Can't seem to find much news on them, though :(

They look cool... much better than the Wilsons in my opinion.

I stayed home this year too Danny. ;-)   I've had enough trips to Vegas to last me a lifetime.     I hear different things from different people in the industry.   Some are shaking in their boots and for others it seems to be business as usual.    I'm going full steam ahead but I'm too small of a data point.   A couple of the ODMs I know that build stuff for the big box stores are looking at some difficulties in that market.    Not just business volume but price issues with China.

I guess we will see.   May you live in interesting times.

An "A" speaker.....

Avalon Acoustics partnered the new Aspect speakers with an Audio Research integrated amp and a whole lotta Tube Traps. (from Soundstage)....

Me too. In fact I really don't like having to go and if I can get out of it I won't go.

That's good. Me too. It feels like a typical January so far with a lot going out the door each day. Winters are always good of coarse. I am just glad I have made my overhead really low. I have a lot more cushon than most if things really did slow down. I know from some inside sources that some of the big dogs really are shaking in their boots. Several high end, brick and mortor stores that I hear from are shaking too.

Hey Lonewolf,

You posing with speakers partially nude now or what?  aa
