I noticed that all of those reviews are European.

Hi Dave,

Yes its a bit of an oddity but over the years our preamps generally and especially our Phono Stages have been much better received in Europe than in North America.

Thanks James.
The Amplifiers have finally reached the level of accuracy that the preamps have, maybe?

Hi Serendipity,

Its an intersting question.

It think it really shows how pre-perception and reputation plays a significant role in peoples opinions and attitudes towards hi-fi gear. In Europe there was always a more sophisticated view of our preamps audio quality right from day one while our power amps being  'Pro' in reputation could not possibly be considered true hi-fi.

In the USA  and Canada it was kind of the opposite - we had a great reputation for superb sounding reliable amplifiers out of the gate and the preamps where almost an aside.

I think the SST versions of the amplifiers changed all that but the history still lingers.
