Time to call it the "1001" and be done with it.

Yep, I am leaning towards a series name and model number. I just can't believe how many names are trademarked.

You guys didn't give me much feedback on the Apollo name. What do you guys think of that one.

You never know, there could be an Apollo 1 and Apollo 2 or something later on....

Everytime I hear the word "Apollo" - I think "13".

There's got to be a better name out there.  Someone has it and is holding out.  Bide your time and maybe start a new thread... name the new speaker part 3 - the last chapter.

Perhaps GR-00v1 or GR8-80085? Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

I'm not a big fan of the Apollo name.  I'd stare at the finished unit for a few minutes and write down what images come to mind when you see it, then see whats available that you thought of.  But hey, that's just me.  A name always becomes more catchy when whatever being named kicks serious ass.

Danny...
Those seem to look a lot like my Orion Speakers  :o
But then again, a lot of speaker look alike. Well actually identical.

So hopefully they will preform like my Orions, because myself, and many other are sure pleased.

I would personally vote for the Obsession. I know its a bit cheesy, but I think it works.

I beat him to it.  Of course, the only ones who get to hear the names or the speakers are my family and friends.  I try to pick the names that match the speaker.  Maybe I'll start posting pictures.

Jenny - She's cheap, cute, and trendy.  (It's a small affordable high WAF HT speaker)

Lola - Short, dark, and curvy.  (It's a small two way monitor with curved sides.  Internal volume is .25 cubic feet.  It's a bit on the warm side even though F3 is 60Hz)

Elizabeth - Tall, slender, and proper looking.  (It's a clean but traditionally styled thin tower speaker.  Voicing is as smooth as I could get it.  Very proper indeed)

The last one in my rotation is still yet to be named.  It's very close to what Danny calls the OB3-X but it's shaped different enough that a picture would be necessary.  My wife and I haven't agreed on a name yet but the name will have to convey style, complexity, refinement, and indulgence.

You need to name speakers after your girls Danny....they would think it was pretty cool... :D

I think Appollo is a good name but others are not digging it.  What about some combination of Venune like Open-Venue or Live-Venue.

How about OBliss?

Kind Regards,
Robert

Apollo is another ancient god, so perhaps not such a good idea.

Soundsation sounds like something from the 70's.  Cheesy.

How about "Suspension".  As in it keeps you in suspension while you listen.  Plus it's an actual componant of a speaker.
