absolutely - definitively yes.... unless you also own some headphones.  Then I would build the Castinet kit which should have plenty of gain for most sources.

Has anybody used both in their system? Jim (tubes) and I have tried to connect to do this but we haven't quite made it. As I have stated elsewhere I go back and forth between my Castanet and my 6SN7 Ultrapath. No complaints at all about these two. Both are extremely focussed and clear. Castanet may be a bit better in the bass region. UP may give a deeper sounstage. (At least to my ears). Just don't think I can do another linestage. Inputs are my 12AX7/6SN7 Chime and Cornet2

flocchini, I sold my headphones because I wasn't using them. So Clarinet for me...

The postman rang the door bell and presented me with a package...from Hawaii...
says Hagerman Technology on it...
it's addressed to my wife...
better be what I think it is...
