.Promitheus Audio:

Apollo ----------SOLD
DAC------------WITHDRAWN (I have tried to sell locally but the DAC did not match the one's system since   the buyer did not get the signal from his source). I guess somehow this NOS DAC only accept a true 75 Ohm signal from the source (SB3 and/or Duet).

Can you help me understand whether the HagUSB I use will provide a true 75 ohm signal in case I wanted to try a Prometheus DAC someday? Is this a function of the the Promitheus DAC itself or modifications you made to it?

Just looking for information and wanting to avoid a system mismatch if I decide to try one of these at some point. Thanks,

Pardales,

I do not know much about HagUSB which could handle a true 75 Ohm digital source or not. One thing I have only known is happened to my modified Promitheus DAC since a local buyer had tried this DAC in his system which did not work with. I also try again the DAC in my system and it works fine. To answer your question is because of the stock DAC built this way or because of the modification to accept only 75 Ohm I honestly do not really know about this technically. IMO it is a matter of matching system synergistically.

For technical questions I would ask Nick Chua at Promitheus Audio.

Thanks,
Tan
