a classic, apparently this was rereleased without completely f***ing it up by remastering it.

awesome bass. plus awesome music. movie wasn't so grand though.

one of the best sound qualities when it comes to soundtracks. very hard to find though...

nice girl who makes brum'n'bass like stuff. nice background music, but can also be played in private.

more to come, dinner time now...

You don't know Led Zeppelin? Anyway, I do too. I have a feeling that Laundrew's recommendations aren't necessarily brand new stuff. But very esoteric.

Gitane Demone used to perform with Christian Death. She went solo in 1989 and Facets of Blue was released 1993.

Be well...

James: there's an order for a 4B SST2 black in 17 inch version coming to you these days from Natural Sound in Kitchener. This is the record that sold it:

Recording quality is outstanding as anything coming from ECM Records (these people know what they're doing).

The first track sold the amp. Imagine three sopranos with extremely pure voices singing a polyphonic "Kyrie Eleison" in a stone church. Rather close miked so the ambient reverb is just suggested without obscuring or overpowering the direct sound. This is the sound that ECM recorded and only the Bryston was able to re-create. Anything else was muddy or un-detailed in comparison.

P.S. Talked yesterday to Nat Sound to add a BP6 to the order. My flirt with the Cambridge Audio 840E didn't end in a long term relationship

An interesting recording that has the uncanny ability to sound good through about any audio system:

Recorded and mixed in spanish studios by latin engineers, it is at same time detailed (without being edgy) and warm (without erring into overpowering or loose bass). Those people were definitely doing something right when engineering it, I would be curious if someone with golden ears could "reverse-engineer" what they did and explain what makes the sound so sweet.

Otherwise a nice trip into fado with charming Mariza, and the music will definitely make you tap your foot.

Enjoy!

(and don't use it for auditions of equipment - as I mentioned it sounds good no matter what).
