I have a friend who use to go down to Austin texas and he had the opportunity
to see SRV at a club.He had taken some picts of him on stage.
Anyway what Steve was using was 2 Leslie speaker setups 8).I remember those
used with Hammond B-3 organs.I guess the sound was just incredible,of course
Steve's playing without any effects is incredible.

One thing I discovered with Amazon.ca,you can't listen to tracks from cds, sooooo.I go to Amazon.com(US)and there you can listen to cd tracks.
if I find a cd I like I look it up on Amazon.ca and order it(WAY CHEAPER :thumb:).

Billy Thorpe has some great music. Here  are 3 that always go down very well. The last was was done just before he died.It was a tribute to his mother.

Check out this fantastic system.

speaks are nice but that big Classe amp is so ugly and in the way. 900 watt 2 channel amp. Bryston was so correct making equivalent  power in mono config, that vid proves it.

You are 1wiseoldguy. I havent heard that amp but i would bet my 4Bsq/rm-20 combo smokes that Classe omega amp on 80% of speaks out there for a 1/4 of the price......

Ok to stay on the topic of the thread. This is a great release by the Black Eyed Peas

A great main stream release, the recording allows for great focus in vocals by William and Fergie on its phantom center. Excellent blend of electronic synthesizer on its left/right channels that never get into stereo center. If no like mainstream dont bother.

Hello 1wiseoldguy

The artwork is good, the music is just mainstream hiphop. You can take it or leave it but the recording is pretty good, The vocals are kept well away from any electronic filler intrusion. It allows for nice layering of Fergie and William. Its good and plays loud.

JJ. Cale featuring Leon Russell- In Session at the Paradise Studios, LA 1979

Restored and digitally re-mastered from the original analogue masters.

I played this dvd for the first time last night. I found the sound quality to be exceptionally good. Format Dolby Digital, dts and stereo.

Seven musicians jamming together on stage in a laid back kind a acoustic jazzy blues style. I found it to be relaxing and quite enjoyable at the end of the day.

Might be hard to obtain as it has been discontinued, on Amazon.
