One of my other ideas is....

GR Research Victor

1. A person who has overcome or defeated an adversary; conqueror.
2. The one who won
3. A bit of a homage to the Victor Talking Machine Company and "His Master's Voice"

Do you think this is your most avant-garde design to date? If so, the GR Research Victor may be appropriate.

While your proposed aesthetic design is slightly modern, they could have a way-cool classy retro-classic vibe that reflects the style of the '40's - complete with a stamped, tarnished brass GR Research logo (in classic script, of course). These could be easily made to look like a killer find in an antique shop. They would remind you of your feisty grandfather (on your mother's side). You can swear you can smell pipe tobacco and old leather during late-night listening sessions. The glow of tubes romantically feature the period-true woodwork and advanced design. The sound transports you to a place and time where conveyance of musical nuance through a recording isn't just magical, but nearly unbelievable. The GR Research Victor can recreate this sense of marvel with today's modern recordings.

I've got a million more ideas, but you'll have to weed through such gems as "The Syphilis" and "Ultrafunkular Spectacular". I figure those don't have a snowball's chance in Hell. Awesome, nonetheless. But not commercially viable.

Just curious...Are you using 1st-order crossovers on the BM-12cxa (I'm assuming that's the speaker you're using)? If so, will these speakers be time and phase aligned (the built in subs notwithstanding)?

With the Weticus rendering I quickly thought of my other out of my league passion for fine mechanical watches and the Breguet inspired "Tourbillon" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbLITIynCgA The heart of the watch often shown in an open skeleton-ized form.

WerTicus, I am floored. What an incredibly good rendering!

The Venue name is not bad.

They technically can't fall under that category because the voice coil of the compression driver (tweeter) slightly behind the voice coil of the woofer.

It could be that I watched the gunfight scene from it recently, but I keep thinking of the movie Open Range.

Get it?

Open (baffle)
(full) Range

Then again it tends to make one think of the outdoors more than music or audio.  :|

I'm having a tough time beating "Venue".  I haven't heard that one before.  It's good. :)

It is looking like the final price for a fully assembled finished out and ready to play pair is going to fall into the $4,900 range. I'll try to keep that as low as I can. Custom finishes and veneer choice might bump that up a bit though. It's all up to the customer.

All things considered though, that still may be a considerable bargain.

I really would like for a group of you guys to hear these. Maybe a little listening party is in order.

Well guys, I liked two of the suggested names.

I like the "Cobra" name and the "Venue" name. Maybe you guys can give me feedback on those two?
