I need help naming this new speaker...

Hi, have been watching the posts about this speaker, which looks like something I could be very interested in from what I've read so far-efficiency, lack of box-colouration, bass control and without the need for a multitude of amplifiers..getting WAF is the only real obstacle I can forsee, aside from finding the cash!
Look forward to seeing how it develops and hope a kit may materialise as I live on the other side of the Atlantic. Not entirely sure about some of the side swoops, but the mock-up's look almost there.
Anyway, the naming thread has been amusing and I thought I'd throw something in.. Claro and Alegria were my first thoughts but I think they've already been taken,
So playing on the open baffle aspect, I give you: The GR Research Obia- 'a monster sent by witches to kidnap young girls from the village.'

Obi or Obeah seems to have various forms and meaning, including storyteller, magician, spirit, spell etc

So I would like to submit "GR Research Revival" catchy

Revival: there are many definitions but here are a few that fit the best:

Definition:

1. renewal of interest: a renewal of interest in something that results in its becoming popular once more ie: MUSIC

2. recovery: the recovering of life, consciousness, or full strength ie: Dynamics

A simple alphanumberic like the current series isn't bad. OB-1 for the top of the line in GR's Open baffle speakers. Similar to F1, signifying the ultimate in performance and technology.

I am also re-looking into the Venue name. It didn't translate well as it is often looked on as the local of a legal meeting or court proceeding. However it has been most thought of as the local for a music performance as well. If that is more of the primary thought for most people when they hear the Venue name, then it might work well.

You guys would be surprised at how many names have a conflicting trademark on them that would keep them from being used on this product. That is what shoot down "Cobra" and one of my favorites "Virtuoso".

I have to see if two others clear for use and then I will put together a short list of favorite and see what you guys think.

Rendition has an edgier feel to me but did like it.

Revival feels appropriate too because it seems uplifting and fresh.

Venue reminds me of all those concerts that I went to in my youth. It also says open and live to me.

These are the emotional responses I have to those names. Now what makes me drool is knowing that this speaker is keeping Danny so engaged and having fun.

though iirc there are some horn speakers of that name, possibly from a Seattle company.

I have a short list and will post it shortly. I am waiting for a couple more trademark searches. Some that are questionable are being looked into more closely to see if there would be a perception of a conflict.
