I'll be there.  I'm still trying to entice other GAS members with the Chameleon preamp.  Do you want to try it for some 2 channel listening???????

Sure absolutely Mark.
With the way I've got things set up, we could either output from the SB3=Chameleon=Jolida Tubes=HawthorneAudio Coaxes. (MAY be a little light on the lower frequencies)

-or-

SB3=Chameleon=H/K AVR645=[Jolida/Plate/Legion amps}=ALL two channel drivers (this would give us full range OB bass and IB bass).

Looks like I can go, but not till the wee hours though.

Is there anything I should bring?
-Food?
-Drink?
-Audio media?
-Audio equipment?
-Video media?
-Video equipment?  (Do you have an HD player?  I have a HD DVD player not hooked up right now.)

And I need the address and phone number so when I get lost I can call for guidance. :)

Good deal, glad you can come Bo.
Although, when you say "wee hours", what time are you thinking?  :o

Regarding things to bring; Nothing is necessary/mandatory.
I'll have a few beers/soda/water on hand. If you drink something special, bring it along. Wasn't planning on food as it's a "micro-mini get together".
Equipment = If you'd like, but again, wasn't planning on spending a huge amount of time gear swapping, just a casual listening session kinda thing.
Media = Sure. I can handle CD. DVD. DVD-A. BlueRay.
I can't do HD-DVD, or SACD unless a PS3 or XBox360 can handle them, I've never checked or tried.
Swapping video sources has proven to be a HUGE pain.  Not recommended.
I'll send a PM with address and phone info.

Hey guys, I'd really like to thank you three for coming out last night, I had a great time.
Most of us had the pleasure of meeting Ken at Ricks house a few weeks ago. This was Bo's first get together.
I think both of you will make fantastic additions to GAS. Glad to have you on board.  :thumb:

Mark, I realized this morning I forgot to give you the TT.  :duh:

In regards to Bob's infinate baffle woofers I am NOT saying this just because my Bozaks are infinate baffle.  Let's just say that if you want to hear the ulitmate in LFE in home theater, he's got this DVD of War of The Worlds and you want to be sitting down for this one.

I had a great time, not just listening, but also learning about home theater technology and ideas.  Bob is quite the craftsman and thinker and I really enjoyed getting the royal tour of his room, closet, and workshop.

I'm glad you had a good time. I enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again soon.

Thank you for the complements too, Ken.
In the grand scheme of you fellas, I'm a relative newbee to audio and video, it's good to hear from individuals whom opinions I trust that I'm on the right track.  :green:

Bob

EDIT: By the way, you three guys are the first audio fellas that have heard the IB at "full throttle" in it's current configuration.  aa

Thank you Bob for opening up your home and theater to us.  That was a very awesome bass display with the WOTW.  You have a very nice theater and it was a new experience for me with the open baffle speakers and the infinite baffle bass.  I really enjoyed my trip to Memphis from Chicago. :)

haha, Thank you for the complement Bo, and you're very welcome. It was great having you over. I hoped I gave you a good impression of OB and IB together, for HT and 2 Channel both.

Here is a link to the JBL SB-5 I was talking about.  4 woofers like I said but each chamber is ported and kind of setup like your subwoofer in your shop Bob.

Yea, that's almost exactly like my Deware Housewrecker, just with the holes in a different place.
That should make your innards rumble.  :icon_twisted:

Can one use the squeezebox software and not have the device?
