This is the prototype pair of the ART Array (Audio Roundtable Group Build Line Array) speakers. The drivers are not recessed on this pair. This is a special purpose design that was conceived to explore the feasibility of a very low cost speaker that's capable of being driven by low power SET tube amps. The ART Array uses eight Dayton Classic 5.25" woofers with a single centrally located Vifa DX25 tweeter. Sensitivity is about 95dB, and the impedance is 16 ohms. The woofer crossover is second order; the tweeter crossover is 1st order using a single 10uF Solen cap with a 16 ohm resistor across the tweeter terminals. These speakers are at their best with SET amps and can be driven to surprising levels by Bottlehead Paramours or a SEX amp. The firm asking price is $300, which is the current wholesale price of the internal parts. I'm in Houston, and these are offered for local sale only.
