Check out GearWatch. I created it to help people save money by finding used gear locally. The site monitors Craigslist and Ebay for deals on local used equipment. Just choose your city to see audiophile ads from sellers near you. It's free, so check it out!

While you're at it, take a look at the main part of my site, Daily Audiophile. It provides commentary and links to reviews and articles related to high fidelity audio equipment. It includes the newest and most interesting content every weekday from over 100 high-end audio sites and publications.

I'm still refining both of these sites based on your feedback. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Mark.

Very cool!  :thumb:  This is a seriously useful site.  I didn't even know about some of those sites near the bottom.

Cool. And the best part, is that it doesn't look like any form of scam.
Nice site Mark. It'll be interesting to watch it grow.

I love it.  Now if you could filter by price as well as location I'd be in bargain hunting heaven.

this is nice.   :thumb:  but, i am curious - if you are posting an ad tocraigslist, do you need to do anything for your site to be able to pick it up?

thanks,

Hi Doug. Thanks for the question. GearWatch will pick up any Craigslist or Ebay ad that contains an audiophile brand name in its title. You can see the list of brand names that GearWatch searches for at the bottom of the following page:

Thanks again for all the great feedback, everyone!

Unfortunately, Gearwatch is down now. Swamped by newcomers from this thread and another on Stereophile forum. He says next year it will be geared up ;) to handle the gearwatching throngs.

It is a very cool service, I have been watching tons of gear come up for sale in my own area. Meantime, you can still check your own Craig's List or Ebay, but not as easy as gearwatch.
