Speaker connection problem 9BSST
« on: 30 Oct 2008, 02:14 am »
I went to change my speaker cables today and had a problem tightening the speaker cable behind the 9B.  I use spades so when I went to tighten the terminal the plastic part terminal was just turning making a grinding like sound but the terminal would not tighten on the spade.  This only happened to 2 of them, the rest tightened up.  Is something broken or stripped? I haven't changed my cable since I bought the amp 3 years ago. Any suggestions?

Hi Tony,

If it just spins then it sounds like it was overtightened and got stripped.  I will pass this on to Mike at Bryston to be sure.

Have you heard from Mike?  Am I able to replace it?

Hi Tony,

Yes I did pass it along - I am surprised Mike has not contacted you.

I will get on it.

HI Tony,

I checked with Mike and he says the 2- channels or the amplifier will have to come into service.
