Enjoying a couple Hoegaardens tonight...I'm usually more of a porter/stout fan (Young's Double Chocolate...mmmhmm) but this white is pretty darned good, I think. What do you guys like?

I've not experimented with too many brews over the years, but there is one I'm very fond of:
Landshark - It has a certain smoothness (texture?) that I love. Hard to explain, but it seems like it's just slightly thicker (viscosity, for lack of a better word) than my normal Budweiser Select. Although it's twice the price of Bud, so I don't indulge very often.
Also like an occasional Fat Tire[sp?], those are pretty good too.

Anybody ever try "Bob's 47"? I've heard of it but never tried it. Seems like something I should try since it's named "Bob".

Got a six pack of Blue Moon seasonal (winter I guess) the other day, it is pretty good, if not just a little too sweet for me.  Not a full out winter ale, but now that its fall it is turning out to be a good transition beer to something like Sierra Nevada Christmas Ale, which I like when its at its coldest out.

My favorite beer, period, is probably Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.

But right now, in Utah, the best I've found available is a local barleywine by Uinta, which is named their Anniversary beer, presently designated by XV.  It is a *bit* like Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, being a hoppier IPA-ish barleywine, but it is really in a different league altogether in terms of depth of flavor and balance of hops and malt.  10-ish% ABV, meaning it must be purchased through the state liquor monopoly.

Tried a couple of new ones (to me) this weekend. For those who like lagers & pilsners, Trumer Pils was delicious. Also, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Bend Oregon, was great. Not your normal pale ale. It was a medium body beer but great for fall weather.

Just got a six pack of Boulder Beer "Never Summer Ale."  Exactly what I was looking for in a fall/winter ale, all good so far a few sips in.

The New Belgium brewery is one of my favorites.  Fat Tire is their most common one.  They make a very nice trippel and their seasonals are usually very good.

I'm a big fan of IPA's. My favorite are-

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
Red Hook Long Hammer IPA

Favorite Ale- Long Trail Double Bag Ale

Favorite light beer- Miller Lite

Favorite beer after mowing the lawn on a hot summer day- Miller High Life.  Don't knock it until you've tried it.  :D

Anything Belgian, especially the sours. Rodenbach gran cru tops my list and so does anything Cantillon and Boon. Let's not forget the Trappist either!
Most English, especially Samuel Smith's (their oatmeal stout is godly)
Many Germans
and last but not least, LOTS, of American craft brewers.
Americans, IMO, due to their lack of tradition are much more open minded to experimentation and many of them succeed in creating new and exciting beer styles.
My favorites are: Rogue, Dogfish Head, Stone, Alesmith, Russian River, Pizza Port, New Glarus, etc. etc. I'm sure I'm forgetting many...

Second that  :thumb:

Adding to the list:  Black Butte Porter, Anchor Porter (& Steam), though sadly those aren't on the shelves around here anymore, too many local micro-breweries, and the original Pilsner Urquel.    To All
