Need Worldly advice

My family and I will be traveling every 2-3 years to different countries, and in between locations back in the US of A.
I would like to know what I need to do to make my stuff safe in other countries.

I think that depends totally on the country..canada, no sweat..mexico, (mexico city especially) another story..thailand, another still..Where ya headed? You are referring to keeping stuff safe while there, correct? Many of my friends travel all over the world and often, let me know if I can help.

We are in the foreign service as of January. We will find out where our first Embassy post is by the end of February. So the marines will be guarding my stuff
