Referencing Mac as a source, CA states "Vinnie gets it..."  http://www.computeraudiophile.com/rocky_mountain_audiofest_2008_day_1

Yup, he sure does "get-it".  IMO his room had some acoustic challenges (not the least was the booming bass of a neighboring room that never seemed to stop) so knowing his gear, I know it wasn't really being presented in it's best light, nonetheless it was all Vinnie and all good, and that TT setup was enough to make a guy want to get back into vinyl again.

Really, really nicely done all around, Vinnie, and so sorry I got ill and couldn't come back for more.

BTW, for anybody who hasn't had the pleasure of meeting the man himself, I'll say this guy is really smart, very much passionate and into what he's doing, is ultra polite, gives a firm handshake, and is a first rate human being.  I've known him virtually for years, but meeting in person was a real treat.

And, I don't give out compliments like that often.

Hi Alwayswantmore,

Thanks for spotting that post on The Computer Audiophlie.  It was a pleasure to meet Chris at RMAF and he brought some good music on his USB drive!

Hi Jim,

Wow - thanks so much for all the kind words.  I really enjoyed meeting you and Linda!

Yes, our room was probably one of the smallest at the show and this is all my fault because I signed up for the show at the last minute.  I wasn't planning on going, but when I took on distributorship for WLM last August, I decided that I had too many new things to show and luckily there was a room left for us!  For next year I'll plan ahead, as I am doing for CES in January

Regarding our small room at RMAF, I would have liked to pull the speakers out into the room a lot more (to show off a much deeper soundstage), but then we would only have one listening chair and I much prefer to get a couple of rows of chairs set up so people can come in and sit down.  The Real Traps acoustic treatments certainly helped out the situation and I was still pleased with the way things turned out, and glad we picked the WLM monitor speakers.  I'm sure a lot of you heard large speakers in rooms that were just too small (and playing too loud - like the booming room next to us  :duh:).

I really like the Scheu turntables - a lot of bang for the buck and of course I love the DC motors!  aa
We received a lot of interest and positive comments on our phonostage prototype and I'm really looking forward to releasing it.  It seems that the music server approach (for digital) and vinyl are both doing really well these days and I'm glad to see it!

I was really thankful for all that came into our room and listened to our system, and I enjoyed it when some guests brought their CDs and LPs.

Thanks again,

Vinnie
